LOSCON is this weekend!

November 28, 2008 on 10:31 am | In appearances, conventions | No Comments

This is it.  Joseph and I are rushing out the door to head down to the LAX Marriott in Westchester, CA for the amazing little convention called LOSCON.  Three days of fun, friends, intelligent conversation, room parties, intense panels…Why am I sitting here blogging about it?!  I have to go! You may or may not hear from me again until after the con, but if you are in town, come play!

Joseph Corsentino’s artwork will be in the artshow.  Plenty of new images to browse and bid on.  We will both be doing panels.  So, once again, come play!

Getting Ready for LOSCON

November 24, 2008 on 11:35 pm | In appearances, conventions | No Comments

Our most favorite of all favorite local convention is happening this weekend.  I am so excited, I’m shivering with anticipation.  *shiver*  See?!

Joseph has been full on printing for the artshow.  As usual, Joseph has lots of new fairy photographs, never before seen, available in the artshow, as well as some oldies but goodies.

Joseph is doing a panel on art.  I’m doing my first panel EVER on costuming.

This year, I’m not making a costume specifically for LOSCON :(   Great sadness there.  We just don’t have the time this year.  Oh well, it just means that I’m dipping into the Time of the Faeries costume department to whip up something funky, fun, and modern fairy-ish.

As usual, LOSCON will be so fun!  See you at the room parties!

Donny doing a Costuming Panel!

LOSCON is coming up, a fantastic, friendly local sci-fi/fantasy convention at the LAX Marriott during the Thanksgiving weekend.  Every year, Joseph and I go and have a blast.  This will be the first year that we’re on any panels, and only because we feel that it’s time to give back to the con that has given us so much…*sniff*..

Joseph will be doing an art panel, duh!  But I will be doing my FIRST EVER panel on costuming!  Woohoo!  I am very excited and nervous and wonder wthey did I get myself into?!  Do I know enough about costuming?

The topic is costuming on a budget, where to buy stuff…except, I make a lot of my own stuff…from curtains!  What am I going to say?!  *yikes*

My Costuming panel will be on Friday night.
