What is a modern faerie?

It took time, lots of time, but a few street faeries began to connect with humans again.  They began to understand the modern world, and learn how to work within the confines, the potential, and the power of the urban world.  They sense the energy in neon lights, the connection in the wireless air, the beat of mp3s.  Faeries slowly began to dance to the rhythm of midnight traffic and fly on the heat from black tarmac. 

Their tattered wings grew strong again.  Their rags transformed into micro-mini skirts with coordinating boots and jackets.  The faeries, in all their glory and mischief, were back and ready to inspire humans once again.

Satine Phoenix as a Fairy and a Vampire

We had the amazing fortune to work with the incredibly talented Ms. Satine.  Here are two for you to enjoy: The Drunken Fairy and an as yet untitled Vampire piece.  We placed both of these prints in our ETSY Dollar Sale and they both sold within minutes.  Look for them on ETSY in the next few weeks.

One of the new angel/fairy hybrid. You can tell the species by the fashion and the wings. This one is wearing jeans, and yet still has color in her outfit. The new hybrid is an evolution for these magickal creature, a way for them to make peace with themselves, to grow and achieve their fullest potential…there are so few of these hybrids in existence right now…what will happen to them should War comes?

Last Fairy of 2008

Happy New Year!  Happy New Year!  It has been an incredible year for Time of the Faeries and for Joseph Corsentino.  As we head into 2009, we reflect on the successes and lessons learned of the year, and there were many of both, and can  only feel excited at what 2009 will bring.  We hope you and your family look stay with us as we continue our journey into “The Afterlight” of 2009.  Once again, Happy New Year!  Please enjoy the last fairy image of 2008.

Joseph Corsentino is in writing mode!

For the last few days, Joseph has been in uber writing mode, knocking out pages and pages of Time of the Faeries. This is truly exciting! I don’t know how much of it I can sneak away from him to post on here, but I till be trying Give you guys an idea of where we are taking TOTF now.

In the meantime, all photoshop has been put on hold. Luckily, Joseph finished quite alot before his writing bug bit him.

Focus on Modern Faeries

Modern faeries live among us here and now in the Time of the Faeries universe.  After struggling for decades in the alleys and sewers of cities, the faeries finally learn how to live with humans and effect changes.  They regain their power, their confidence, and find their place in the modern world.  Their wings blossom fully again, with glints of mischief in their eyes.  Beware though, these faeries are as dangerous as ever, perhaps more so.  Their mission in life is make you question yours.

This is Rya, one of the first faeries to evolve into the modern faerie.  Her history is long and tragic, but now, she is one of the most powerful and influential of the faeries.  Watch her, she is the catalyst that makes things happen.
