What is an angel?
September 2, 2010 on 9:01 am | In angels | No CommentsAfter the devastation of the Fall of Kailand, many noble faeries withdrew from human society and interactions. Fearing a repeat of the last great war, the noble faeries created a new faerie realm, separate from humans, watching over humans, and slowly guiding the development of human culture, religion, and society. As these noble faeries go about their new self-appointed mission of molding humans, their wings evolve from quixotic insect wings to giant feathered wings, differentiating themselves from their past, creating a new identity and mythology for themselves. They become…Angels.

Third Wave of TOTF: Afterlight Characters!
June 28, 2010 on 1:23 pm | In afterlight, angels, cool stuff, fairies, new images | No CommentsWe have three more Time of the Faeries: The Afterlight characters to introduce to you today. You will get to know these characters more in The Afterlight graphic novel, volume 1.
Work on the graphic novel itself is well underway. Joseph Corsentino has to take a short pause from our Afterlight work to create the 2011 Time of the Faeries calendar! Be sure to keep an eye out for the calendar and grab twelve prints for the price of one!
As usual, you can always get Time of the Faeries prints at http://www.timeofthefaeries.com/store. We now have almost 50 prints posted on the store. Every month, we rotate in new prints and take out new prints, so come back often.
First, we have Anavere, an Angel who has seen too much and have done worse. Somewhere inside her mad mind is a terrible secret.
Second, we have Crazy Rich. Dangerous? Or just dangerously loud-mouthed?
Finally, we are thrilled to re-introduce you to Inanna, beautiful and powerful, perhaps one of the most powerful of the Angelic legions. Yet, she holds no love for humans.

A Kai-fire Concept
May 6, 2010 on 8:10 pm | In angels, fairies, new images | 1 Comment“We may look like you but trust when we say we are nothing like you.”
This angel photo is a test, a concept image for what the energy known as “Kai” will look like in the Time of the Faeries: Afterlight graphic novel. The glyph on her arm is the Kai symbol itself.
Kai is the energy that all faeries and angels use. It is their blood, their life, and their existence itself. Kai is created by the life energy of the world, the dynamic ability of life to change and evolve. When all life dies, Kai ends, and soon after, the faeries.
While Kai is what gives life to faeries, it’s humans who generate the most Kai, because it’s humans who affect the world the most around us.
When you fall in love, you create Kai. When you strive to change the world, you create Kai. When you write a novel the world has never seen before, you create Kai. When you look at the clouds and see roses and go home to share it with a friend, you create Kai.
Faeries exist because humans have the power to move the world. But what happens when humans are gone?
"Call me an Angel" by J. Corsentino
May 3, 2010 on 6:11 pm | In angels | No CommentsHere’s a new angel image by Joseph. It’s been awhile since we posted an angel and I think this one is particularly fun. Her wings are deliberately graphic as she is only a half-angel.
What do you think?

The new hybrid is an evolution for these magickal creature, a way for them to make peace with themselves, to grow and achieve their fullest potential…there are so few of these hybrids in existence right now…what will happen to them should War comes?
Shooting an angel today.
May 3, 2009 on 10:01 am | In angels, on sale | No CommentsSounds dreadful doesn’t it? We are looking forward to photoshooting an old model we’ve worked with in previous years, Mahdis. She’s one of the first angels we ever shot, during the time when we still used real wings. This should be very interesting to see how she does now, without her wings. The image below is part of the Time of the Faeries book and also available through auction on FuzzB.
Meeting an old friend – Yaya! -
August 30, 2008 on 9:46 am | In angels, appearances, conventions | No CommentsIt always so nice to find an old friend again! Joseph met up with Yaya, our original Battle Angel Annavere! To date, she is still our most popular, most published, and biggest selling angel of all time, and she was one of the first! We are so excited to find her again and to start working with her on new concepts and new photoshoots.
Man, Yaya just gets hotter with time
